The Art Of Simplicity

Efficient and aesthetic direct restorations with the new CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shade concept.

Time has always been in short supply in dental practices and the hygiene requirements imposed as a result of COVID-19 have made the situation even worse. Streamlining processes is a logical strategy to shorten treatment times, but optimization has to keep up the high standards of treatment and ensure appealing results.

That is exactly what the CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shade concept from Kuraray Noritake Dental does, allowing rapid shade matching and direct production of durable and appealing restorations with a single shade. A opaquer or block is no longer needed.

The CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shade concept comprises three shades:

  • Universal (U) for all posterior restorations.
  • For more aesthetically challenging anterior restorations, there are two options: Universal light (UL) and Universal dark (UD).
  • Universal white (UW) is used in specific situations, such as the restoration of milk teeth.

Kuraray Noritake’s light diffusion technology (LDT) was the starting point for the development of the CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shade concept. This technology ensures that light diffusion in the composite is similar to that of the dental enamel on the adjacent teeth, so restorations blend in discreetly. Despite the simplicity of this process, it produces long-lasting and good-looking effects.

Thanks to its outstanding mechanical properties, the CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shade concept is suitable for the restoration of both anterior and posterior teeth. Like other members of the CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 family, this high-strength product features good wear properties, balanced shrinkage and a reliable performance, even for posterior teeth that are exposed to heavy wear. The material is easy to polish and keeps its gloss, giving a natural appearance, which is particularly beneficial for front teeth.

The CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Universal shades are available in PLTs and syringes, making this a simple and time-saving method of producing firm, durable, and aesthetic restorations.

The result is optimum streamlining of direct composites, in short: intelligent simplification!
